Why can’t I maintain inventory in Plytix?
Because of how PIM systems are designed and what they are intended to do, they are not a good solution for keeping track of stock. Inventory requires frequent updates to ensure product availability, which means that the values of stock for each product are constantly changing. Keeping inventory in Plytix would conflict with the ability to keep track of changes that have been made to certain products, because consistent updates to an "inventory" attribute would mean that products are always shown as recently modified.
