Step 1: Gather your data
Sometimes you will be able to export your files from your existing systems and easily import them into the PIM, but if not, we recommend getting all of your information setup and formatted into single spreadsheet (or sheets), of which you can then bulk upload into the PIM.
Here’s the top 5 tips to remember when setting up your spreadsheet(s):
- Mandatory Column – SKU
- One product, one row
- Six levels for categories
- Declare parents for variations
- Link to files must be publicly accessible http-links

Step 2: Get your data into the PIM
How? CSV. Comma. Separated. Value. In other words the de facto standard format for most data exchanges between eCommerce, CRM and ERP systems - what we call “The ecommerce ecosystem”.
