How to download your assets from the PIM

There are two ways to download asset files: individually and in bulk. 

How to download assets individually

Individual asset file downloads will result in the direct download to the browser of the file.

1. From the Asset Overview

You can download individual asset files directly from the Asset Overview.

  1. Use the filters or search bar to find the asset you want to download
  2. For the table view*, hover over the row of the asset 
  3. Click the options icon with three dots (see image below)
  4. Choose the option "Download asset"
  5. Then the file will download directly to your browser

*You can also download assets using the more visual grid view. To do this hover over the image you want to select, and choose the option to download the asset (see image below).

2. Downloading from the Asset Detail Page

When navigating through files, you can also download them from the Asset Detail Page in the top right corner.

3. Downloading assets from product pages

To download a file that is linked to a product, select the product from 'All Products' (1). From here, select the 'FILES' tab (2), and the overview of all the related files to this product will appear. Hover your mouse directly over the desired file and an actions menu will appear. Press the cloud icon, to download your file (3).

How to download files in bulk

Bulk downloads will deliver you files in a ZIP folder and/or in a CSV format via URLs. 

1. From the Assets Overview

Downloading files from the Assets Overview allows you to select exactly which files you want to download. To do this: 

  1. Go to ASSETS in the top navigation and select ALL ASSETS
  2. Select the assets you want to download
  3. Click the EXPORT button that appears above the product table
    Here you will see 3 options for exporting: CSV, XLSX, and FILES

  4.  Choose the CSV or XLSX button to receive the asset files as URLs (and also in a folder) or choose ASSETS to get them downloaded into a ZIP folder. 
  5. If selecting a spreadsheet, you will need to also select any additional attributes you want to show in the sheet
  6. Click NEXT
  7. On the following screen you can change the file name and then EXPORT your selection
  8. Your asset files will be emailed to you and they will also appear in the PRODUCTS > EXPORTS section until it expires

2. From the Product Overview

Downloading assets from the Product Overview will result in getting files related to the products you select. To do this: 

  1. Select a few products
  2. Click the EXPORT button that appears above the product table
    Here you will see four options for exporting: CSV, XLSX, PDF, and ASSETS
  3.  Choose the CSV or XLSX button to receive the asset files as URLs (and also in a folder) or choose ASSETS to get them downloaded into a ZIP folder. 
  4. Choose media attribute types for specific items or search for the system attribute "Files" to get all related files
  5. Click NEXT
  6. On the following screen you can change the file name and then EXPORT your selection
  7. Your files will be emailed to you and they will also appear in the PRODUCTS > EXPORTS section until it expires
