Export Settings for E-Catalogs

Set how visitors can download and request information from your e-catalogs.

Users can always download from an E-Catalogs File tab, but an E-Catalog can also enable the options to download product data in Data Sheet (CSV/XLSX) and PDF formats. Users can also ask for information using the Quotes function.

How to activate the export options

  1. Go to your E-Catalog and navigate to the EXPORT tab
  2. Go to the ACTIVE column and select the options you would like to activate

Quote Requests

Quotes allow users to ask for more information about certain products in certain quantities. When you enable this setting, notifications will automatically be set up that will email the creator of the catalog. You can change this by visiting the NOTIFICATIONS tab.

Notifications must be enabled, or no email will be sent with the information the visitor has requested.

Email & Notifications:

Notifications must be enabled, or no email will be sent with the information the visitor has requested.

When someone requests information from your catalog, they will fill out:

quote-request

  • The products they want information on
  • The quantity of the products they are interested in
  • Their first and last name
  • Their email address
  • A customizable message

This information is sent to you via email with a PDF and CSV.

Your email will contain two things: a PDF confirmation that the user also received and a spreadsheet with the product SKU and quantities. Each is identified unique Quote number in the name of the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet is only sent to users specified in the NOTIFICATIONS tab.

Spreadsheet:

This spreadsheet is useful for sharing the information requested by the user with others or uploading it into a different system. For this reason we allow you to add additional "supporting" attributes to your spreadsheet.

Options:

  • Select which supporting attributes get sent to you in the spreadsheet
  • Choose the order the attributes are output in the spreadsheet

Editing:

  1. Click the  ADD Button, to select which supporting attributes you want to include in the spreadsheet
  2. Organize the column output order by drag & drop the attributes up (left) and down (right)

Account download notifications

The account an E-Catalogs belongs to will receive a notification, based on the E-Catalogs settings.
This notification will include the users' e-mail and a copy of the PDF or Datasheet download.
As an account admin/user, you can change the settings to whom the notifications get sent.
Read more on the notifications settings article.
