Attribute Types

You can choose from a selection of attribute types to fit the type of data you're looking to store for your products. This article provides an overview of the available attribute types, when to use them and the filter types they provide.

Short Text

Names, Identifiers with letters, and other short values of text.

Paragraph

Longer pieces of plain text, eg. description, instructions and warranty content.

Rich Text

Used for content that uses styling, when exporting the content outputs in HTML format.

Integer Number

A numerical input that only allows for whole numbers. If you do not input the number correctly you will get an error message. Useable for Quantities, numerical identifiers, weight in grams, volume in ml/oz.

Decimal Number

A numerical input that allows for decimal numbers.

For a set of options where only one option can apply at a time, i.e a color or size.

Multi-Select

For a set of options where multiple options can apply simultaneously, i.e. color combinations or available retail outlets (webshop, retail store.

Fairly self-explanatory, some examples are launch dates, end of life dates etc.

Link to an external resource i.e. YouTube video or external documentation.

True/False (Boolean)

Used for all 'yes or no' questions for your products i.e. Diswasher Safe or Discontinued.

Encapsulate a linked file for a product i.e. main image or instruction booklet.
